ROB ZOMBIE Lets Out His ‘Educated Horses’

Launch Radio Networks reports: Rob Zombie issues his third solo album today (Tuesday, March 28), titled "Educated Horses". It's the former WHITE ZOMBIE vocalist's first collection of new music since 2001's "The Sinister Urge", following a break in which he wrote and directed his first two feature films, "House of 1000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects". Although Zombie flirted with the idea of permanently shelving music in favor of movies, he told Launch that he's not ready to put down his microphone yet. "People go, 'How long can you do this, how long do you want to do this?'" he said. "I want to do it as long as it's fun, because that's what it's supposed to be. I mean, I don't need the money, so I don't have to drag my ass out on tour just to make money. I'm all good there, so if it's not fun, it's nothing, it's just stupid, you know. And when you're not having fun, you're not gonna do good work. You're gonna seem like a miserable guy who's just doing it for the money, and I just never wanted to do that."

The title of the album, "Educated Horses", comes from Zombie's childhood when he used to go on the road with his family, who worked in carnivals that often featured trained animals.

Zombie is currently scripting his next feature film, but has not yet announced what it will be. An animated movie based on his El Superbeasto comic book character is due out sometime later this year.

Zombie is touring in support of "Educated Horses" and performs tonight and tomorrow (Wednesday, March 29) in New York City.
