On Sunday, May 21, 2006, an estimated 2,000 motorcyclists will join DEE SNIDER and the March Of Dimes in the fight against premature birth at DEE SNIDER’S 4TH ANNUAL BIKERS FOR BABIES RIDE. Registration will begin at 9am at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale and the bikers will hit the open road at 11 am. The route is as follows: Meadowbrook Parkway South to Ocean Parkway East; Ocean Parkway East to Robert Moses Causeway North; Robert Moses Causeway North to Long Island Expressway East; Long Island Expressway East to North Ocean Avenue. The ride will culminate at the Town of Brookhaven’s Town Hall located at One Independence Hill in Farmingville. The ride is sanctioned by the American Motorcycle Association and is open to the public and all motorcycle enthusiasts are welcome. A small registration fee of $25.00 is required and riders are treated to lunch, entertainment and a host of vendors at the finish (Town of Brookhaven’s Town Hall in Farmingville). Interested riders may register by contacting the March of Dimes – Long Island Division at 516.496.8198. All pre-registered riders will receive a commemorative Bikers for Babies patch in addition to the commemorative pin that all riders will receive.
