Music, what else

music baby….

Uli Jon Roth‘s (ex-SCORPIONS) production manager Jeff Agins with more details regarding Roth‘s upcoming first-ever Sky Academy Seminar & Sky Music Festival, which is going to take place in Los Angeles, California on May 24-28, 2006.

Commented Agins: “Here is some info on what Uli is planning. The web site is Uli wants to take his approach to the guitar and teach it to guitar players wanting to take their playing to the next level. He is certain that he is able to teach this approach. It is designed to help musicians reach their full potential and talent. The web site explains it better and is all in Uli‘s own words.

“Associated with the Academy are three concerts in which Uli is expecting to have several guests. The concerts are called ‘Uli and Friends’. He will be performing with a full band and is focusing again on playing rock. His bass player is Francis Buchholz from his SCORPIONS days and he is also planning on another ex-SCORPIONS member as a guest at these concerts. The rest of his band is Ferdy Doernberg (AXEL RUDI PELL) on keyboards, Olaf Senkbeil (DREAMTIDE) on vocals, and Michael Ehre on drums. He will be playing lots of SCORPIONS, ELECTRIC SUN and HENDRIX at these shows. He also plans on having special guests. We are expecting some real talented guitar players from around the world. Should make for one hell of a concert, three times!!”

As previously reported, the venue for both the Academy and the concerts is the Ralph Freud Theater at the University Campus of Los Angeles (UCLA).

Uli Jon Roth will be performing at the B.B. King’s Blues Club in New York City on May 16. Additional U.S. dates are expected to be announced soon.
