Metal Express Radio Updates

Wazzup Metalheadz!

Welcome to the Metal Express Radio Weekly Update!

Wow, a lot of good stuff has happened since the last update (two weeks ago) … so let’s get to it, shall we?

Metal Express Radio Premieres a New Weekly Show This Week!
Metal Express Radio is rolling out a new show, starting this week, called
BEFORE THEY CALLED IT HEAVY METAL … 70’s HARD ROCK REVISITED.  The focus of this new show will be to pay tribute to the forefathers of Heavy Rock music who paved the way for the creation of Heavy Metal.  Featured will be the likes of Black Sabbath, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, as well as lesser known bands of that era.  The show will run 2 times each Monday, starting today, at 15:00 and 21:00 Central European Time (9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time).  Be sure to check it out!

Metal Express Radio Stream Has Switched To A New URL!
The new Metal Express Radio stream transmits on Port 80 now, which should make it more accessible to listeners, especially those behind a corporate firewall.

Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Jukebox Gone?
As many of you have probably already noticed, the Metal Express Radio Jukebox is currently unavailable.  We’ve received many inquiries about why the Jukebox was taken down and when/if it will be reactivated.  The short and long of it is:  We’re working through a small, yet important, administrative/legal detail with respect to offering on-demand listening in streaming audio.  Once this issue is taken care of in an appropriate manner, we’ll reactivate the Jukebox … we hope the time required to resolve this contingency is indeed inconsequential, and appreciate all of the positive feedback we have received about the Jukebox’s importance to many of our Web site visitors.  We’ll keep you posted on our progress!

More Consistent Show Times!
The Hairball John Show, as well as the Hairbanger’s Hairspray Show, will now both air at 15:00 and 21:00 Central European Time (9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time) on their scheduled days to remain consistent with airings of our other programs.  Hopefully this will make it easy to remember when trying to catch your favorite Metal Express Radio Shows!

More Consistent News Updates!
